expeditions - trails - retreats
adventure - joy - connection

We are a small group, a family, of experienced guides and facilitators dedicated to inspiring others to be more adventurous, healthy and balanced.

We lead community-based expeditions and retreats all around this beautiful world, aiming to inspire participants to have their own adventures, get in touch with their priorities and cultivate joy in their lives. As a team, we live modestly, distribute benefits equitably and continue learning from the people who are able to truly show us the wilds of the world.

Our trails

What makes a Pata Trail a Pata Trail? Well, we run a range of trips from base camp style retreats to Indiana-Jones-Level expeditions. If you do come and join us on one, apart from the obvious physical challenges, you’ll always get a taste of these 4 things:

Mountain craft

Learn about navigation, survival, wildlife and weather

Joy and lightness

We bring music, movement, story-telling and play into the mountains.

Local connection

We only lead trips where we have long-standing personal connections

Silence

Disconnect, reflect, envision.
Qi Gong, breath-work, cold plunges.

Our locations

We work in the Cantabrian Cordillera (Spain), the Pamir (Tajikistan), the Grampians (Scotland), the North Rupununi (Guyana), Lapland (Finland), the Rwenzoris (Uganda), Amazonas (Peru) and Flores (Indonesia). These are remote mountain locations where we have lived and worked for many years. We have life-long friends in these places, so come for a proper adventure and meet our mates along the way.
